Our team completed a boiler controls upgrade project on a system operating on both gas and oil. The work centered on bringing new efficiency and monitoring capabilities to an existing plant while making the most of the customer’s existing equipment.
Scope of Work:
Upgraded three boilers with the Preferred Utilites BMU controller
Reused as much of the legacy equipment as possible to maximize value
Enhanced efficiency tracking with new steam, feedwater, natural gas, and oil flow meters
Retrofitted the existing central panel with a Preferred Utilities PWC Plant Master Controller and a new 10″ OIT touchscreen for modern plant-wide control
The result is a boiler room that’s not only more efficient and reliable, but also equipped with tight monitoring and control tools to help operators maximize performance every day.
